Ashfall Legends
Ashfall Legends is a proper time sink in the best way. You start with a single wandering hero and slowly gather a party, each with their own quirks, gear, and a surprising amount of dialogue. The combat is turn-based but keeps a good pace thanks to a timeline system that shows who acts next, so you can plan combos instead of just tapping the biggest attack.
The writing is the standout. Companions comment on your decisions, remember old conversations, and occasionally disagree with each other in ways that feel earned. I ended up caring about a grumpy blacksmith far more than I expected. Progression is generous with skill points, so building your team the way you want doesn't require a spreadsheet.
It does ask for real commitment — this isn't a five-minute-a-day game — but if you want something with depth on a phone, it delivers.
