Cozy games that respect your time
I love a good grind, but sometimes I want a game that isn't trying to trap me. Cozy games get a lot right here, and the best ones let you stop whenever you like without punishment.
Lantern Hollow is the clearest example. No timers, no combat, just a quiet village to explore at your own speed. I finished it over two evenings and never once felt rushed or nagged to come back.
Greenhouse Tycoon sits in a slightly different spot — there's optimization if you want it, but you can happily ignore the min-maxing and just enjoy watching things grow. Both games trust the player, which is rarer than it should be.
If your evenings feel busy, these are the ones I'd start with. They fit into life instead of demanding you build life around them.
